MB 236.15 is a highly specialized, ultra-low viscosity (FE - Fuel Economy) fully synthetic automatic transmission fluid developed exclusively for Mercedes-Benz 7G-Tronic Plus (Transmission Code 722.9) 7-speed automatic transmissions produced from approximately June 2010 onwards.

·         Identification: It is distinctively colored Blue to prevent cross-contamination.

·         Crucial Precaution: It is NOT backward compatible with older 722.9 transmissions that require the red MB 236.14 fluid. Mixing blue fluid into an older red-fluid transmission (or vice-versa) can lead to severe transmission slipping and internal component damage.

This fluid is strictly designed for 722.9 7G-Tronic Plus transmissions. You can easily identify if your car requires this fluid by looking at the transmission oil pan: MB 236.15 pans have a deep oval indentation and use a green overflow pipe.
